Will It Pass?
Prop challenge testing for MT5 bots
Will your algo pass? · Prop firm challenge simulator

Your backtest passed.
Would the challenge?

Drop in your EA's MT5 Strategy Tester report. It replays your bot as a prop firm challenge from every possible start date, applies the daily and max-loss limits trade by trade, and returns the real distribution — how often it gets funded, how long accounts survive, and what a typical attempt is worth. Because an algo that passes a backtest once isn't the same as one that passes the challenge reliably.

Firm rulesEdit these to your firm

These start on a common 2-step challenge setup as an example — change every box to match your firm's actual targets, loss limits and payout terms before you run. The numbers here drive every result, so if they're wrong, the answer is too. One-step challenge? Set Phase 2 target to 0.

What do these rules mean?
Account size
The starting balance of the challenge account. All the £/$ figures scale from this.
Phase 1 / Phase 2 target %
The profit you must reach to pass each stage. A common setup is 10% then 5%. One-step firms: set Phase 2 to 0.
Daily loss limit %
The most you're allowed to lose in a single day before the account is failed.
Max loss %
The most you're allowed to lose overall from the starting balance before you're failed.
Min trading days
The minimum number of days you must place a trade on before a pass counts.
Payout cycle days
Once funded, how often you can withdraw profit — often every 14 days.
New account setup days
The gap after you pass a stage while the firm reviews your pass and issues the new (verification or funded) account, before it goes live. Those days are sat out.
Your profit split %
The share of funded-account profit you keep — commonly 80% and up.
Challenge fee
What you pay for one challenge attempt — the cost this is measured against.
The short version

Read this as history, not a forecast. These figures are what the strategy did across historical start dates in a single backtest — not a prediction that any live challenge will pass. Markets don't repeat, this tests one price path, and start dates overlap. Nothing here is investment advice.

Did it get funded? Every start date, in time order

Each thin bar is one challenge, bought on one date, replayed from that point forward — left to right through time. Its colour is how that attempt ended.

What a typical attempt is worth

The headline figures, across every start date that resolved. "Typical" is the middle outcome — a fairer guide than the average when a few big wins or losses skew things.

What one attempt makes — or loseseach bar = a range of outcomes

The full spread of results. Each bar counts how many start dates landed in that money range — so you can see how often an attempt lost the fee versus paid out, not just the average.

The realistic rangeevery resolved start date

Not one number, but the band you'd realistically land in depending on when you started — the honest answer to "so what would this actually make?"
